Competitors Assemble: Oak Teams Up With Tiger

By Laura Waterton

Oak Innovation and Tiger have grown up alongside oneanother. Both with headquarters on the south coast of England, we have often found ourselves pursuing the same opportunities within the communication management space.

Now all that is set to change, as friendly competition has grown to mutual respect and a vision for working together for greater gains.

In recent years, Oak has moved away from call reporting to focus on recording, primarily our award-winning cloud recording platform ClarifyGo for Microsoft Teams. But we recognise that Teams customers still want a level of analytics traditionally provided via reporting software.

This is where Tiger has teeth. Targeted at medium to large enterprises, Tiger Prism delivers powerful insights to improve performance and decision-making. Conversely, it’s the recording piece that they have been missing.

William Emm, Oak CEO

“A collaboration makes a lot of sense to both businesses,” says William Emm, CEO at Oak Innovation, “Prism is a fantastic product and will help open new doors for Oak across the globe.”

Ben Nicklen, CEO at Tiger, continues: “We continually discuss driving product development and creating our own intellectual property. However, often our customers ask us about call recording and contact centre software. Rather than reinvent the wheel, we know this is a specialist area for Oak Innovation, so it was the next logical step.”

The partnership will offer synergies for both Tiger and Oak Innovation customers, looking at the compliance and decision-making benefits of combined call recording and analytics.

Clients in a range of industries will be able to record calls compliantly, improving their customer service and adhering to privacy regulations.

At the same time, they will benefit from tracking key call data including licences, device usage and call times.

This value-added service will allow both brands to operate independently, but equally collaborate to deliver the best customer experience possible.

In the future, both brands look forward to capitalising on these mutual benefits and exploring new opportunities.

Tiger CEO Ben Nicklen added:  "After more than 20 years of our organisations admiring each other from a friendly distance, I am so excited about the opportunity to partner and collaborate with Oak Innovation. Bringing together two of the best-known brands in the UC ecosystem will enable our customers to benefit from excellent products, services and continue to drive business value in UC analytics and compliance recording technology. Watch this space!"
